Hi everyone,

I hope you have a lovely day today.  The weather here in the islands has been beautiful this week, very bright and sunny but with a strong steady breeze.  This morning I fixed my hair in a French braid slightly to one side, and pulled on the sections when I was done to make my braid poofy.  I braided the length of my hair in a herringbone (or fishtail) braid and wrapped my braid into a low bun.  I held my bun in place with bobby pins, then added a large clip on one side.
Thank you for following my posts her on my blog and on Facebook.  I love sharing hair pictures and posts with my friends from around the world.

Hello friends,

Thank you for following my posts!  Today I braided my hair in a French braid, using the 3-D box braid braiding pattern.  Basically you take four strands of hair:

1-2-3-4

Outermost 4 goes underneath 3, underneath 2, then flips up and over 2 to be placed in the middle of 2 and 3.  So now your strands look like this:

1-2-4-3

You repeat the same pattern starting on the opposite side.  So take strand 1, move it underneath 2, underneath 4, flip it up and over 4 so that it is now between 4 and 2.

2-1-4-3

Now to start French braiding, just add a little bit of hair to the outermost section before repeating the pattern.  I keep it straight by thinking, "Under, under, over...under, under, over..."

I hope this explanation is helpful, now for pictures of my braid :-)

Hello everyone,

Today I fixed my hair in a simple updo that takes less than three minutes to create.  First I made a tiny French braid on either side, then put my hair in a low ponytail and a bun.  Ta-da, I'm done and ready to start the day!  It was actually drizzling slightly when we took pictures, and you can see clouds over the mountain in the background.  A grey, rainy island day~ still beautiful as always.

Hello everybody,

I hope you had a lovely week-end.  Thank you for all the views and comments on my last post, Rey's Triple Bun-Knot Hairstyle.  I am looking forward to making a demo video for YouTube soon on that hairstyle.
For today I chose to go simple and made a sideways French braid and bun.  Thank you for coming to see!  If you're not yet following my Facebook page, be sure to click "like" and see all my posts there.  Thank you, my friends <3

Hi everyone,

Today I fixed my hair in a style I tried once a long time ago, double French braids but with a hidden center part.  To hide the part, first I divide my hair in half.  Then when I'm making my first braid, I separate out the innermost sections of hair that I would normally add.  I gather the corresponding section of hair from the opposite side of my center part.  When I make my second braid I use the sections saved from my first braid, and this is what gives my braids the criss-crossed look that hides my center part at the same time.  I hope this makes sense!  A second mirror is definitely needed for this hairstyle so I can see the back of my head as I'm braiding and make sure I am keeping the sections straight.

Hello everybody,

Today I went "easy" and made two random French braids with a braided bun.  A fun, simple hairstyle that still looks classy :-)
I'm excited to say that my blog's Facebook page reached 500 likes.  Thank you, my friends!  I hope you all have a safe, peaceful, beautiful week-end <3

Hello friends,

Today I wanted to make a French braid but with a different twist...literally.  As I braided my hair, I would pick up a small section of hair and twist it tightly between my fingers before adding it into my French braid.  I love the defined look that this hairstyle has.  And instead of leaving my braid long at full-length, I wrapped it up and clipped the end in place with a few tiny hairclips.  This kept my braid out of my way, plus helped it to look neat and in place all day long.
