Hello my friends,

Yesterday evening I tried out a hair mask recipe that I saw on Pinterest, and I absolutely loved it!  I whisked together 2 eggs, 2 tablespoons coconut oil and 2 tablespoons olive oil and put this mixture on my hair.  I covered my hair with a plastic grocery bag, wrapped it in a towel and left it for a couple of hours before rinsing my hair thoroughly in cool water and washing it at usual (condition-wash-condition method).  My hair was soooo easy to comb out, even though it was still wet.  And today it is shiny and soft like never before.  I will definitely be using this hair mask again :-)
To take advantage and let my hair show how shiny and soft it was, I fixed it in my favorite Ginger Rogers' short half-updo hairstyle.  I did the braided version to keep tangles away all day long.

(I took a few pictures late in the day, just to see the difference between the bright morning sun and the softer evening light.)

Hi friends,

Today I did my version of Ginger Rogers half-updo, but I braided the length of my hair in a loose English braid before folding it up and making a small bun like I demonstrate in my Youtube video.  This really helped keep tangles at bay, and kept my hair looking neat all day long! I was glad to find out this trick to avoid a tangled mess at the nape of my neck, which is known to happen when I wear my hair like this but don't take time to re-do it during the day. Some pictures to share with you :-)

Hey everybody,

This morning I made a new hairstyle video, on my favorite "Ginger Rogers' Half-Updo" :-) I just finished uploading it on Youtube, and here are some still pictures of this hairstyle as well. Thank you so much for following, and for watching my new video! I hope you have a beautiful sunny day, just like we are having here in the islands.

Hi friends,

Several nights ago I was playing around with my hair and put it up in this half-updo style.  My sister said it reminded her of Ginger Rogers' hairstyle in the movie "Tails of Manhattan."  So I tried this hairstyle again a few days ago and took pictures this time :-)
First I gathered half of my hair as if I were going to do some-up-some-down (or a half-updo).  I held my hair in place with one hand, then reached over and gathered all my hair up until it was the length I wanted.  With the left-over length of my hair, I made a bun and clipped it in place.  The clips are also holding the original hair from my "half-updo."
I apologize if my explanation is confusing!  It was actually fast to fix my hair this way, and just as quick to redo do it during the day if it got messy.  I posted a few pictures of Ginger Rogers herself at the end, so you can see what I was aiming for~
