Hello everyone,

Today I braided my hair in two blossom-Dutch braids and added three small braid rosettes as accents.  I have seen variations of this look on the internet, and wanted to try it out myself.  My hair is still extra-soft from the hair mask treatment I used a few nights ago~ so easy to mix together and always has such fabulous results <3

Hello friends,

We managed to take hair pictures in the evening light before the sun completely set~ a blossom-Dutch braid with a braided bun was my look for today.  I love the way a Dutch braid looks so full and lacey when you slightly tug on the sides to give it the blossom effect.  You can see how I do this in my last YouTube video.
And speaking of YouTube, I saw the best cartoon ever tonight and found the link so I could share it with you.  You may have seen it already, the Pixar short film "Lava."  It is so sweet, and the scenery looks just like our islands <3

Merry Christmas!

For my first December post, I'm excited to share my new hairstyle video that I made yesterday.  It is a Mohawk-style blossom braid, two of my favorite looks combined in one :-)  Thank you for visiting my blog and for watching my video!  I hope you have a lovely day and a very Merry Christmas season.

Hello all,

Thank you so much for coming to see my new hair pictures!  Today I experimented with a new hairstyle, and love how it turned out.  First I made the three small English braids on one side as accents.  Then with the rest of my hair I made a Dutch braid, which I turned into a blossom braid by tugging on the sides to make the sections of my braid "blossom" into a bigger, fuller braid.  I've found the secret to making a blossom braid is to put your hair into a low ponytail when you finish making your Dutch braid.  Maybe this can be an idea for a future hairstyle video :-)
I hope you have a wonderful week!  This Thanksgiving week, I am thankful for you.

Hi everyone,

It has been pouring rain all day long, so I had to take hair pictures indoors this morning.  I made three Dutch braids, then put all my braids into a low ponytail.  This made it so much easier to pull on the sides of the braids giving them the blossom effect. I turned my ponytail into a bun, and was finished! I absolutely love the name for this type of braid that I learned from my friend Raychel of The Braid Zone.
