     Today I tried to fix my hair in a modern look to match the pattern of my dress.  My side braid is actually a French loop braid, but it looks more like a 5 or 6 strand Dutch braid because I did not pull on the loops to make them stand out from my braid.  I put the rest of my hair into a side ponytail which I then braided in a long rope braid.  I wrapped my rope braid up into a bun.  Then I took the length of my French braid and wrapped it around the outside of my bun.  My hair is held in place with bobby pins and a single hair-clip on one side.

Hello friends,

Happy Monday :-)  After a slow, pleasant, semi-day-off, I got to take hair pictures in the afternoon sun.  How fun to have the blue sky showing in the background.  My look for today was a simple rope braid bun, with two small lace rope braids on either side.  Thank you for coming to see my new post!

Hi everyone,

     The sky was rather overcast this morning, but still a great day for taking hair pictures :-)  I washed my hair last night but first I used my new monoi oil from Tahiti instead of my coconut oil.  I'm so thankful to my sweet friend in Holland for suggesting I try monoi oil!  It is amazing and smells absolutely wonderful.  I also used an apple cider vinegar rinse~ a great way to clean your hair and make it extra-soft every few months or so.

     By the way, a friend asked where I get my small hair clips.  Usually I find them at Ross stores when I'm traveling in the US, and in Europe I found them in other stores as well.  I love using small clips as apposed to bobby pins, they seem to hold my hair much better and don't tug or hurt as the day goes on.

Hi friends, Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

Yesterday I fixed my hair in a spiral rope lace braid, held in place with tiny hairclips.  I'm always relieved to be able to do this braid once again, it can be tricky to braid in a circle around your own head!  I admit to cheating a little with my clips, they help me create the circle when I can't turn my head or my arms any farther :-)

Hi friends,

     Today I got to take some hair pictures while driving through the Smokey Mountains~ how fun to see the leaves changing color almost right in front of my eyes.  I had extreme braid-waves this morning after my hairstyle yesterday (pictures yet to be posted!) so I tried to use them in my look for today.  Instead of brushing my hair out after taking down my braids this morning, I carefully braided my hair into two lace rope braids and made a big low bun.  The braid waves added a nice texture to this hairstyle.
